Ohio Farm Food
Who grows your food? Serenity Farms of Coshocton Ohio specializes in pasture raised Pork and Poultry. Why pasture raised over that which you find in the grocery store? Click here for the answer. We want to offer you the finest poultry and pork you will ever eat, regardless of the price. We believe in the perfection of God's earth, before it is touched by human hands. We don't want our food full of medications, nor our animals raised in cages or indoor pens. We want our animals to get plenty of sunshine, exercise, and what nature intended for them to eat. We got into this business by accident, but have been so enthused with the food we have raised for ourselves that we want to share it with others. I can't remember the last time we bought meat at a grocery store and when we have visitors, we regularly get comments like, "Man, your hamburger doesn't shrivel up on the grill like ours does!", "This tastes better than mine, what's your secret?" The secret really isn't a secret, it is more like slow down and enjoy it like it was meant to be. If sunshine and exercise is a secret, then maybe that is it.

Not only are we passionate about our animals and our methodology, we also recognize that we are a business and that marketing is the lifeblood. Recently, we were published in Mother Earth News for our Farm's Home Based Internet Sales Article.
Chicken- Most of us love chicken, whether it is the memory of grandma frying it up for Sunday dinner, Cordon Bleu, Beer can chicken, or even the more modern varieties, like chicken nuggets, chicken wings, or the Colonel's. To me, chicken is the perfect food, in that it is perpetual. Chickens give us eggs, which hatch into chicks that over time, lay more eggs to hatch or to eat, then give us their meat as the cycle continues. Have you ever wondered why the chicken you buy at the grocery store can't recapture the memories of yesteryear? Is it truly the memory, or was there something different? Click Here to read WHY chicken today is different than back then, and if you feel the urge, HOW you can roll back the clock.
Pastured Tamworth Hogs- I love bacon! The sound of it sizzling on the stove, the aroma, and oh the flavor. Yet, it is expensive and full of water. Yes, water. They add it to the bacon to add weight. Here at Serenity Farm, nestled in the heart of eastern Ohio, just south of Amish country, we decided to get our meat the old fashioned way. We raise it, then eat it. We also market it to our friends. Why did we decide to raise it, what breed do we raise, and what are the benefits to YOU? Click here to read the story.
Grain Fed Beef- From hamburgers, to spaghetti, to a juicy Porterhouse steak, there is little better to eat. But.... what will we humans accept in the treatment of our animals, to get that great taste that we expect? Do we want to fill our own bodies with the junk that they give to cattle to enhance their growth? You are what you eat. Our family decided long ago that we wanted to experience real beef, and for many years have enjoyed the experience of going farm direct. We are excited to bring that opportunity to you. I miss listening to Paul Harvey and I thank Dodge for using this in the Super Bowl commercial. While we are small potatoes compared to some farmers, this struck a chord deep within me. We love our animals and are proud to, in some small part, play our role as farmer.... caretaker of our own, and friends food supply,
